Openhearted Work Through the Toes & Into the Soul

toes.jpgToe Reading is a unique and captivating healing art, which uses active listening, powerful, soul-searching questions, and deeply skilled insight to help people create change in their lives. It is the art of sitting before someone and witnessing their very being, their life story. Toe Reading is based on the theory that each individual records a holograph of the story of their life and stores it within the body. The position and shape of the toes contain this story, which can be read by a skilled practitioner.

Toe Reading is based on the principles that:

  • Your internal-self is displayed in your left foot.
  • The position and shape of the toes say a lot about their owner and the energy in one’s body.
  • By observing someone’s toes, you will know a great deal about their past and the experiences they have lived through.
  • Toes reveal how a person copes with their feelings, as well as their thoughts.

You can learn a great deal about their past experiences and current issues. Toe Reading is not like counseling or palm reading. A practitioner addresses and coaches the client on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. Master Toe Readers move the person to action by asking questions to propel someone to integration and healing. One of SWIHA’s #GreatGraduates shares her story:

Diana Atenco knew one of her life’s callings was to become a Toe Reader. She just loved the opportunity to sit with people, listen to the stories of their lives, often pray with them, and always have the opportunity to help them make new choices about how they would step forward powerfully into the world.

Diana completed a series of classes at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts starting in 2007 and became a Registered Toe Reader. From the very first class she realized she had a gift; without ever fully understanding how she knew even more than what the toe tissue revealed, she was aware that Spirit was using her as a messenger to people of all ages. Diana went on to enroll in our Hypnotherapy and Life Coaching programs, and is using her gifts to help people struggling with addiction.

Toe Reading can be combined with multiple modalities such as massage, reflexology, life coaching, or spiritual coaching. SWIHA offers a variety of programs containing Reflexology and Toe Reading, such as the Master Massage and Yoga Teacher Training option or earn a dual-certification to become a Master Massage and Natural Aesthetics Practitioner!

Can you imagine what kind of opportunities one program can bring you, by certifying you as a Massage Therapist, Toe Reader, Life Coach, and Skincare Practitioner?

Like any coaching work, this takes an open heart and the utmost respect for creating a safe space, to hold space. The feet are a sensitive place for many people, so the utmost gentleness and compassion is crucial. There is so much beauty in witnessing the life changing transformations this work can initiate. This is truly some of the most rewarding work a practitioner can do!

Did you know Toe Reading is offered online, as well as on-campus? Our interactive online classes feature professional, instructional videos, compelling and informative lectures, invaluable and leading-edge readings, as well as open discussion forums, all presented with dedicated instructor guidance. After completing the Toe Reading Level I class (16 hours of training) you can begin marketing your skills and building a practice and clientele.

Come experience Toe Reading as our guest! We offer complimentary Guest Passes into the first four hours of any class of 8 hours or more. These may be obtained by calling Student Services at 480-994-9244.
