How Suzanne Lucero Went From Hospice Nurse to Holistic Entrepreneur by Awakening People’s Hearts

Posted by Jade Marvin on 9/22/22 4:00 PM

Just before I enrolled, due to a near-death experience, I began going through a transformational spiritual awakening. I was confused by all the personal changes I was experiencing. I knew I wanted to do something, yet I did not know what or where to begin. I was a certified nursing assistant in the Hospice field for 24 years. I was divinely guided to help people in a new way. The divine message I received was to awaken people's hearts. Then I found SWIHA and enrolled. The adviser helped to point me in the direction of Hypnotherapy. The Integrative Healing Arts Practitioner program with a focus in Hypnotherapy taught me the tools I didn't even know I needed for my own self-healing. As I went through the program, I underwent my own healing journey and came out as the best version of myself. I now have the confidence that I will only get better and better from here.”

Spiritual Serendipity: Andrea Aizlewood Refined Her Intuitive Gifts

Posted by Taylor Jablonowski on 10/11/18 2:24 PM

“Since childhood, I have been quite intuitive,” says Andrea Aizlewood, a SWIHA Online graduate. Andrea always knew that she had unique spiritual skills waiting to be discovered and refined; she could receive emotions from those those around her, recognize synchronicities, and even sense energies. Her gifts were so strong, however, that they initially intimidated her.

“I closed up out of fear,” she explains, “I closed up for almost a decade, all through my early twenties.”

It was only when her one-year-old showed signs of the same intuition Andrea possessed, that a new-found interest in exploring her abilities was sparked:  “I saw my son wave at my long-deceased grandmother [who I felt] standing in the corner of the room. It made me realize that I had to get over my fears so that I could be there for my son to teach him how to protect himself and learn his own gifts.”

Playing It by Ear: Nickole Swensen on the Marvels of Auriculotherapy

Posted by Staff on 5/3/18 2:00 PM

Sometimes, the journey leads us to a destination we never could have expected. For Nickole Swensen, it was that unanticipated curve in the path that led her to her true purpose: a life of healing, though certainly not as she had planned it...

“I originally went to SWIHA to study holistic nutrition,” Nickole confides. “I was fascinated with the way food impacts our bodies and wanted to share my love of food with future clients. I was really interested in learning more about ways to heal and help others that would use all the elements—mind, body, and spirit.”

Yet, it was in the midst of her nutritional studies in SWIHA’s Mind-Body Wellness program that Nickole learned about auriculotherapy for the first time. Immediately, she was hooked. “I found it amazingly powerful, so I started using it on myself and my family,” she says. “The energy and knowledge that instructor Cheryl Speen brought to my auriculotherapy class was unbelievable. I actually loved her class so much that I took it twice—just for fun!”
