Every healing journey has a beginning—and for Linda Abramov, that journey truly came into focus at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. As she completes the final class of the Integrative Healing Arts Practitioner (IHAP) program, Linda reflects on a path shaped by resilience, intuition, entrepreneurship, and a deep desire to help others heal from the inside out.
While she initially felt called to SWIHA through the Mind-Body Transformational Psychology program—hoping to pursue the associate degree that once inspired her—Linda quickly realized that the IHAP curriculum still offered exactly what she needed. “IHAP has given me a strong foundation to build on,” she shares. “This experience has been so fulfilling. I’ve learned more about myself than I ever expected.”
Long before stepping into SWIHA’s classrooms (physically and virtually), Linda’s world revolved around managing businesses and taking care of everyone else. A natural entrepreneur and life-long learner, she had always been drawn to psychology and energy healing yet struggled to find a path that unified both.
Then life shifted. As a newly widowed mother of two, Linda hit a breaking point. Traditional therapy, combined with energy work, became the lifeline that helped her survive—and eventually rebuild. “That’s why I believe so deeply in what I do,” she explains. “Healing isn’t just physical. It’s emotional and spiritual. This work helped save my life.”
That realization led her directly to SWIHA, where she found a community and curriculum that connected everything she cared about: service, psychology, spirituality, and empowerment.
A Defining Moment: When Reiki Opened the Door
Linda’s spiritual path sharpened in 2018 when she discovered Reiki. “Everything just clicked. I knew instantly this was my purpose.” Reiki became the bridge between her natural intuitive gifts and her entrepreneurial expertise. For the first time, she could clearly see how her healing abilities and business skills were meant to work together.
“That was the moment I knew I was walking my true path—one that blends service, spirituality, and success.”
Studying at SWIHA has brought profound change to Linda’s daily life. She describes her transformation not as a single moment, rather as an ongoing unfolding.
“Every day brings new awareness. SWIHA helped me slow down and become more grounded. I’ve learned to see challenges as opportunities rather than setbacks.”
Her journey has taught her mindfulness, presence, and patience—qualities she now carries into her work, her relationships, and her future.
Linda is, by her own description, “a serial entrepreneur through and through.” She currently owns six businesses, each designed to empower, support, or elevate others. However, her passion project—the one closest to her heart—is Psynergy Retreats, a healing retreat center that blends energy work, psychology, and personal development.
“I’m building something that will outlast me,” she says. “Something my future grandchildren and great-grandchildren will be proud of. Something that will continue helping people long after I’m gone.”
Her services are intuitive, intentional, and deeply transformative. The tools she gained at SWIHA—structure, ethics, grounding, clarity—have elevated her practice while strengthening her trust in her own intuition.
When reflecting on her time at SWIHA, Linda says the greatest lesson she learned was to stay teachable. “No matter how much you know, there’s always another layer. Growth is never linear.”
She expresses deep gratitude for teachers who shaped her experience: Michael Dye, Lori Dye, Jodi Johnson, and Gisele Marasca—each offering wisdom, authenticity, and compassion in ways that deeply influenced her.
Her favorite classes? The ones that stretched her. Challenged her. Asked her to reflect, release, and rise.
“Be patient with yourself and trust the process. Some days will feel easy, others won’t. You’ll come out stronger, wiser, and more connected to who you truly are. You won’t regret this journey—not for one second.”
In her own words, Linda is “living proof that healing, hard work, and faith can transform your reality.” From once being a homeless single mother to now running multiple thriving companies, she embodies resilience, courage, and purpose.
“I wake up every day driven to help others discover that same power within themselves. This work isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am.”
Linda’s story is a testament to what becomes possible when passion, purpose, and education meet. Her journey—and the work she is bringing into the world—is an inspiration to the entire SWIHA community.
