From a very young age, Quantanique Williams has desired to be a mentor and teacher to those around her. Initially, this manifested itself as serving in the U.S Air Force as a Fitness Specialist. Quantanique was then called to SWIHA’s Holistic Nutrition program, and soon after completing her program, she found herself also drawn to Life Coaching.

“I took a resiliency course earlier in the year and it spoke a little bit about the coaching concept of helping people arrive at their own answers and staying away from ‘should’, ‘you need to’ or giving advice,” she tells us.

Quantanique enrolled in the Life Coaching program and was fascinated by the curriculum: “Life coaching is holding space for another to be open without fear of judgement. It’s a space where they can be open, honest and themselves. The goal is to help clients reach their authentic self and have confidence in making decisions that create their best life.”

She says Life Coaching has inspired her to explore herself and accept her uniqueness without worrying about the opinions of others.  She has coached a wide variety of clients including military members, college students, and single mothers. She customizes sessions by incorporating art, yoga and meditations when called to do so.

“It’s a pleasant feeling when clients share that they feel more at ease, clear and reassured after a session,” says Quantanique, “I love being a positive support for others and helping people grow.”

She shares this insight for those considering becoming a Life Coach: “This program is not for those that want to give advice and push personal views on another. It’s about helping others find their own views and allowing them to be comfortable and confident. If you want to live a life of purpose and have pride in what you do, this path will give you that.”
