Life has a way of guiding us exactly where we need to be—sometimes through gentle nudges, and other times through moments that make us pause entirely. For Maggie Coe, her journey into the Integrative Healing Arts Practitioner (IHAP) program at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA) was a combination of both.
Before enrolling at SWIHA, Maggie’s life revolved around her family, her pottery business, and deepening her relationship with her partner. In 2024, a significant accident forced her to slow down, listen to her body, and reflect on what truly mattered. “I became more intentional with my life, listening to what I was being called to do,” Maggie shares. That reflection led her to SWIHA, and she immediately felt that this was the path she was meant to follow. “This is how I could show up for others and also for myself,” she explains.
Maggie describes her defining moment as a shift into self-trust. “I did not second-guess or force growth; I let it unfold as it should,” she says. As she leaned into her intuition without judgment, healing became less of a heavy burden and more of a lifestyle change. SWIHA affirmed that slowing down and approaching growth intentionally wasn’t just valid—it was necessary.
The impact of her studies at SWIHA has been profound. Maggie shares, “I am grounded and trusting in myself. I no longer feel that I need to meet an expectation of others in order to feel worthy.” Instead, she’s embracing her intuition and knowledge with reverence and confidence, creating a life aligned with her values.
Professionally, Maggie continues to expand her pottery practice and develop intentional ritual offerings. She’s also planning vendor events in 2026 and finishing her IHAP program (February 2026), all while nurturing personal growth and meaningful relationships with her children and partner.
Maggie is the founder of The Quiet Whisper, a healing practice rooted in ritual, handcrafted pottery, and intuitive modalities. She explains, “The inspiration to open and operate my own business came from a deep pull to create a safe and welcoming space for others—to hold space for growth, knowledge, and engagement without judgment.”
Through collaborations with other women-owned businesses across the country, Maggie provides intentional ritual pieces that support healing, showing the real-world impact of her SWIHA education. Her training allows her to create offerings that guide others to trust their own intuition and embrace self-led healing.
The greatest lesson Maggie learned at SWIHA? To trust herself. She explains, “I learned to stop second-guessing myself and seeking validation from others. I can engage and learn from others, but I also hold onto practices that feel aligned with me.”
Two instructors left a particularly lasting impact: Gisele Marasca and Jodi Johnson. Maggie recalls, “Their knowledge and feedback were imperative to my ongoing learning. They pushed me out of my comfort zone, which gave me much more confidence.” Her favorite courses included Earth Ceremonies, Somatic Psychology, and Yoga Nidra, all of which deepened her practice and shaped her approach to healing.
Maggie encourages prospective students to trust themselves and the process: “Do not doubt your capabilities. You are here at SWIHA for a reason. Allow your journey to open new opportunities and give yourself grace along the way.”
At the heart of Maggie’s work is reverence, sovereignty, and intention. She honors healing as a self-led process, believing that true transformation happens when individuals are supported in trusting their intuition. This philosophy informs both her personal and professional journey, shaping the way she holds space for others.
While Maggie feels confident in the knowledge and skills she has gained at SWIHA, she remains open to future support as her practice evolves. Her story demonstrates the power of intentional growth, self-trust, and using one’s gifts to make a meaningful impact.
Maggie’s story is proof that SWIHA isn’t just a school—it’s a space for transformation, self-discovery, and professional growth. Explore the Integrative Healing Arts Practitioner program and start your own journey toward intuitive, impactful work today.
