At the heart of every healer is a calling—a gentle nudge, a sudden synchronicity, or a deep inner knowing that there’s more to life than what we can see with our eyes. For Nicole Santoro, that calling was never a singular, dramatic event. Instead, it was a series of divine nudges—a trail of synchronicities marked by resonant goosebumps, repeating numbers, and perfectly-timed encounters that let her know she was exactly where she was meant to be.
Before she walked through the doors of the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (SWIHA), Nicole had already begun her journey in the healing arts. She was offering Reiki, exploring psychic development, and diving into mediumship. However, she felt called to deepen her practice and integrate more tools that would allow her to support her clients on a whole new level. That calling led her to SWIHA’s Integrative Healing Arts Practitioner program, where she sought to learn mindfulness meditation and coaching techniques that would elevate her existing work and allow her to offer more holistic care.
“My life has been enriched in countless ways since beginning my journey at SWIHA,” Nicole reflects. “I’ve grown tremendously, gained deeper insights into myself, and evolved into new versions of who I am. That personal transformation has rippled outward—to my family, my clients, and my community.”
Professionally, Nicole is thriving. Her business, The Grid, was born from a powerful belief: that one person, acting with intention, can create a wave of transformation. “It all starts with one,” she says. “One person can start a movement. One person can make a large impact—one service at a time.” Nicole’s vision is rooted in the idea that we are all energetically connected, part of a greater web she lovingly calls “The Grid.”
At The Grid, Nicole offers Coaching, Reiki, and Mindfulness Meditation. Her specialty? Mindset intervention. She helps her clients break free from self-imposed limitations they may not even realize they’re carrying. Through her intuitive coaching and energy work, Nicole supports her clients in aligning with their truest selves and stepping into their own power.
“I embody the energetic medicine of unconditional love,” she says, “and I use that love as my compass—allowing Spirit to use me as the most beneficial channel possible.”
Nicole credits SWIHA for the skills she now uses in her sessions and also for the powerful sense of community she found there. “I’ve realized that there’s a vast network of people with similar intentions, closer than I ever imagined,” she shares. “SWIHA has shown me that people from all walks of life are coming together with a shared purpose—to heal the world.”
She fondly remembers the classes and instructors who shaped her along the way, from the botanical series and mindfulness courses to the chakra class she found both fun and profound. And although the business courses were a stretch outside her comfort zone, she found them to be one of the most supportive parts of her journey—offering the structure and confidence she needed to bring her vision for The Grid to life.
For Nicole, this path isn’t just a career—it’s a calling. It’s a life rooted in presence, purpose, and deep alignment. If she could offer one piece of advice to future students considering the leap into the healing arts, it would be this:
“Go all in. Take the plunge and trust the journey. You will grow in ways you never imagined. You’ll make lasting friendships, powerful connections, and it will all be worth it—every step of the way.”
Today, Nicole continues to grow her client base and live each day fully—pouring into herself, her children, and the people she serves. Her work is a powerful reminder that healing ripples outward and that when we follow our intuitive nudges and answer the call, we not only transform ourselves—we become catalysts for the transformation of others.
As Nicole beautifully puts it, “Our impact on others, the way we love others, is our legacy. It lives on through all eternity.”
