There is beauty in being different. Embracing our individuality is a magical way for us to accept our truest selves. Moving away from a past life, Elliot is now embracing a life full of hope and healing. Elliot McMonagle is a SWIHA Graduate of the Integrative Healing Arts Practitioner with a specialty in Advanced Hypnotherapy. Utilizing these tools and modalities learned at SWIHA, Elliot is crafting a beautiful online community of healing and transformation. Follow along as Elliot shares his story and his passion for serving others.

What was your life like before SWIHA? What led you to SWIHA and to your particular program of study? Why are you passionate about this modality?

My life prior to SWIHA was full of fear and uncertainty about my way forward. This drove me to search for schools that I believed would change the course of my life forever. Which is when I found this program that I felt would deeply heal myself and others. I am passionate about this modality for how deep and far it can transcend the mind and body.

Is there a “defining moment” you’d like to speak about? When did you know that you were on the right path?

There were many moments where I really saw a shift in the way I was living and feeling and being in my life. It mostly was the underlying rhythms, intentions, and practices that I saw and felt the shifts and continued to show how I was on the right path.

Has your life significantly changed? If so, how?

I feel like I’ve moved through many different waters in a short amount of time and I absolutely feel my life has changed significantly. I am a man who feels like he’s really stepping into himself - enjoying creating life on his terms. My relationship with myself and with others has shifted into healing and hopefulness.

What are you up to now—professionally and personally?

I am building my healing business with many services and tools to support the healing of the transgender and nonbinary community that I am a part of. Personally, I am living at a campground and making my trailer and home a magical sanctuary for healing and transformation.

If you own a business or private practice, tell us all about it! What inspired you to start your own business? What services do you offer? How do you powerfully impact clients? How are the skills you learned at SWIHA supporting your work?

My business is to support the transgender and non-binary community and those who are connected by creating free community space online and offering many types of healing services like reiki, hypnotherapy, and ear and toe readings. I was inspired by myself - the path I was and am taking allowed me to deeply open up to myself and by doing so I discovered things about myself I had never dreamed of. I am experiencing levels of joy and pleasure that I had only dreamed of having and enjoying who I am and the life I am living in a whole new way. I powerfully impact clients with my energy and this ignites the people I work with. They feel electrified and energized, mused by life, and ready to start the next chapter of their lives. SWIHA has supported my work in a huge way because the supportive tools I use with my clients are tools I’ve learned and practiced throughout the program.

What was the greatest lesson(s) you learned while at SWIHA?

Consistent dedication and commitment will be the greatest gift you can give to yourself when reaching a set intention. Showing up and practicing what you are sharing with others is the medicine to your inner self and where you’ll learn so much about yourself in the process.

Who were your most impactful teachers while you studied at SWIHA? What were your favorite classes?

Lori and Linda Bennet were two that have stuck out to me in a deep way. Lori made herself known through videos and allowing us to see her and experience her was a great model for the rest of us and how we showed up in the space. One of my favorite classes was toe reading and past life regressions for children.

If you could give advice to future SWIHA students, what would it be?

Don’t give up on yourself.

What else—if anything—would you like us to know about you, your work, and/or your personal journey?

I am deeply passionate about creating my own unique life and my business is a reflection of this - that inspires and creates opportunities for others to create their own. Being transgender there are many ways in which we naturally stand out and are given a spotlight for just being who we are - it’s time that we embrace this spotlight and show the world how epically beautiful, one-of-a-kind, and miraculous we are!
